It is quite simple and a wonderful experience to watch your Orchids flourish. The whole process of Orchid growth has a holistic approach, which does away with the traditional method of growing plants from seeds. First of all, what is orchid growing? A growing orchid is the actual reproduction of the species which is still in its vegetative state called an orchid. There are certain species that can grow better with the aid of fertilizers while there are others that prefer not to be exposed to such medium. Growing orchids is a hobby that is popular all around the world. In fact, it is so popular that there are dedicated clubs that are formed for people who want to indulge in this activity. The connoisseurs of orchids also hold periodic meetings where new techniques are tried out and the latest trends are evaluated. What is orchid nutrition? Most people know that Orchids need a lot of sunlight to survive. However, not many people are aware that the actual reason behind the name ‘Orchid’ is the Latin word for tree or bush.

The orchids require adequate amount of water throughout the year. However, they do grow well when kept in a humid place, like an aquarium. The frequency of water change depends on the type of orchid. Watering should also be increased after a rain fall to make sure that the root system gets the water it needs.

The orchid leaves gradually turn to yellowish at some point. This is called Phalaenopsis orchids. This stage can last for a couple of months or for a couple of years. During this stage the orchid looks lifeless. One should therefore water the plant daily and try to give it a bright light.

When we talk about what is orchid coin it means a simple thing. It is usually a disease that has developed on the young shoots. This usually occurs during a very warm and humid weather. Once the orchid begins to lose its leaves then it is time to repot it.

Repotting orchids is quite easy once you know how. It usually requires three things; quality potting soil, sharp scissors and orchid fertilizer. Another important factor to take note of is that once your orchid starts growing leaves then you can no longer simply cut the leaves and let them grow back. It is important to report your orchid because it will help your plant to survive and thrive as it should.

Most orchids grown in the house need constant care. They require constant watering, fertilizing and checking for signs of deficiencies. As mentioned earlier, one of these needs to be orchid coin. Once your orchid has either died or reversed it’s color then you have a disease. There are other things that can happen once your orchid dies but one should not worry too much because there are some methods one can use to treat these conditions.

Some orchids need to be taken out of the house. One method is by using a plastic milk jugs. Simply place the orchid inside the milk jug and turn on the tap. Once the pump starts to spin the orchid will fall out. This is a common method used to take out sick or dead orchids from one’s home or garden.

Once you have the first two or three plants then you can slowly add more into the pot. You will know when your plants need watering or fertilizer by looking at the leaves and the plant itself. If the leaves look clean then your plant is fine and you can feed it. If the leaves are yellowish in color or have a green tinge than you should use the proper fertilizer or water your plants very gently.
