Different Types of Plant Pots

Posted on May 9, 2021

Are you a new beginner in the world of plant potting, or a seasoned pro who is looking for a better way to organize your plants and grow healthy plants from your own home? Or are you a seasoned gardener who wants to upgrade your current pots with a more attractive and eye-catching design? The answers are easy and that is why I have decided to help you by giving you the scoop on 2 inch containers.

If you are still a beginner or a traditional gardener who has been doing the same thing for years, you may think it is really all about making a hole in your pot so you can put your favorite plants in it. But, that is not all there is to it. You see, there are certain plants like the taller potted plants like the Junipers, Pomegranates, Shasta Fir and Pistachios need a bigger space than the shorter plants like the beans, onions, carrots and others. So, you need a pot that will give you the proper support for your plants like giving it some space to grow.

If you are using a potting bench top, you might be wondering where you should put your newly bought pot. There are several ways to do it. First of all, you can place it in the kitchen sink, if you have enough space there. It is important that you make sure that you can easily reach your plants and they won’t be hidden under the shadow of a cabinet door or a window.

If you have enough space but you still want a decorative container garden, then you can go outside. Use your balcony, deck or patio for this purpose. This is also the perfect place to bring your family when enjoying nature’s beauty and the wonderful aroma of your favorite herbs. And if you are lucky enough to have an unobstructed space outdoors, you can add more plants to your container gardening and grow a nice big container garden.

But of course, the potting bench top won’t be enough. You will also need other types of pots for your container garden. One is the pergola pot which is used to support your plants from the rain. This type of pot supports the weight of the plant as well as the weight of the soil so that it won’t be too much for you to carry. You can use this for plants like mints, chives, basil, cilantro, tarragon and more.

Next, there are the free-standing pots and the ones that sit on the table. The free-standing pots are usually made of glass and they are very sturdy and durable. They will allow you to position them anywhere you want. If you want to move them around, you can just push them aside. And if you want to sit the pot on the table, you just need to lift the bottom part of it.

The potting bench pots are more useful than the free-standing ones because they have a flat base that will support the weight of the plant and the soil. If you want to remove the soil, all you need to do is to pull it off. Plus, you can move them around since the flat surface won’t cause any discomfort for your plant. The 2 inch plant pots are a little bit wider and deeper than the pots that sit on the table.

You can buy this type of pot in any store where plants are sold. It can be a bit expensive but it will also last for a long time. You don’t have to worry about replacing it often because it doesn’t rust or break down easily. Plus, you will also be able to customize your container gardening with these plant pots.
